   Fluid Dynamic Modeling of Steel Mill Emission control systems. Fluid Dynamic Modeling has taught BCI the influence of various meltshop and steel mill equipment such as ladle preheaters, skull dumps, caster emissions and other emissions have on in-plant fume dispersion. BCI has modeled over 60 meltshop and steel mills over a 17 year period and have become a leader in optimizing your in-plant environment.

   From moveable cranes and scrap buckets to preheating, LMF emissions and tapping. Making sure all emission sources are modeled is just the beginning to providing practical solutions for your meltshop.

Current Fluid Modeling Project

Model study testing the air flow in the water-cooled BOF primary exhaust hood using Fluid Dynamic Modeling. The test should show the build-up pattern in the coffin section of the hood.
